26 LC 129 1485 House Resolution 1922 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Santos of the 117th, Davis of the 87th, Myles of the 126th, and Adesanya of the 43rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing Impact Georgia Day and honoring distinguished Georg ians for their1 contributions to the state and beyond; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Impact Georgia Day recognizes the outstanding individu als of Georgia who3 have made a lasting impact on their communities and the state as a whole; and4 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia has long been home to individuals whose leadership,5 innovation, and service have strengthened communities and inspired future generations; and6 WHEREAS, recognizing these individuals fosters pride, unity, and a shared commitment to7 progress within our communities; and8 WHEREAS, despite facing and overcoming significant adversities, these honorees have9 represented the State of Georgia on a global stage as entertain ers, entrepreneurs, and10 philanthropists, including Jasiel Amon Robinson, also known as Yung Joc, a Grammy11 Award-winning artist and actor; Karlie Lewis, also known as Karlie Redd, an accomplished12 television personality and recording artist; and Nehemiah Davis, a renowned motivational13 speaker and philanthropist; and14 H. R. 1922 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1485 WHEREAS, these individuals have demonstrated impactful leadersh ip, resilience, and15 courage in breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others; and16 WHEREAS, their efforts have paved the way for future generations of Georgians to dream17 bigger, achieve more, and serve their communities with excellence; and18 WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that such impactful indi viduals be appropriately19 recognized for their contributions to this state and beyond.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body recognize Impact Georgia Day and comme nd these outstanding22 individuals for their enduring contributions to the State of Georgia.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the25 honorees.26 H.
