26 LC 112 4066 House Resolution 2000 By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th, Kelley of the 16th, Reeves of the 99th, Momtahan of the 17th, Persinger of the 119th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing March 29 to April 4, 2026, as Holy Week; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Georgia is home to more than 8 million Christians; and 2 WHEREAS, Christians are the most racially and culturally diverse group in the world and3 in the United States of America; and4 WHEREAS, Christian traditions and biblical values are the bedro ck of the United States5 Constitution; and 6 WHEREAS, Holy Week is celebrated by Christians annually as a re minder of the atoning7 death and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; and8 WHEREAS, God has made us in His image, (mind, body, spirit) lik e the Father, Son, and9 Spirit; and10 WHEREAS, there is no other God than the God of the Holy Bible.11 H. R. 2000 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4066 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body recognize March 29 to April 4, 2026, as Holy Week.13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized14 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the15 public and the press.16 H.
