26 LC 112 3992 House Resolution 1958 By: Representatives Cannon of the 58 th, Burnough of the 77 th, Clark of the 108 th, and Bazemore of the 69th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Maternal Health Vitality Think T ank; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank (MHVTT) works to champion3 healthcare, social services, research, philanthropy, and polici es that enable Georgians to4 make informed decisions about their reproductive lives; and5 WHEREAS, the organization is committed to supporting the meanin gful engagement of6 those most impacted by poor maternal health in order to address Georgia's complex maternal7 health challenges and improve maternal health across the state; and8 WHEREAS, by collaborating with partners from across Georgia's maternal health ecosystem9 and drawing on diverse perspectives, the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank strengthens10 understanding of the challenges faced by families throughout the state; and11 WHEREAS, the MHVTT further supports the expansion of the perina tal and postpartum12 workforce, specifically physicians, clinicians, public health p rofessionals, occupational13 therapists, community health workers, doulas, and midwives; and14 H. R. 1958 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3992 WHEREAS, these exemplary efforts are in service of a vision of Georgia wherein every15 citizen has access to respectful, evidence-based, affordable healthcare, including access to16 support and resources with dignity and compassion.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank19 for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend20 best wishes for continued success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank.24 H.
