26 LC 112 4094 House Resolution 1976 By: Representative Gilliard of the 162nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Lyndy Brannen; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Lyndy Brannen is a Savannah community staple and radio professional best2 known for his work on Q105.3, where he has spent over five decades cultivating a personal3 connection with his listeners; and4 WHEREAS, he began his exemplary career at the age of 15 after l anding a job at WSGA,5 Savannah's No. 1 Top 40 Station at the time, where he spun the biggest hits and covered6 breaking news stories; and7 WHEREAS, his passion for radio was sparked by the childhood leg ends he listened to,8 including Dino Summerall, Jim Schira, and Allen Sands; and9 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high10 ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom11 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved12 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and13 H. R. 1976 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4094 WHEREAS, Lyndy Brannen is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable14 reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this16 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Lyndy Brannen for his over 55 years of19 service to the radio industry as well as extend the most sincer e best wishes for continued20 health, happiness, and success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to23 Lyndy Brannen.24 H.
