26 LC 112 3995 House Resolution 2008 By: Representatives Evans of the 57th, Ali of the 106th, Buckner of the 137th, Burnough of the 77th, and Holland of the 54th A RESOLUTION Commending Sierra Hallett, a Family and Consumer Sciences Legis lative Fellow for the1 2026 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellow Program at the University of Georgia3 was founded in 1983; and4 WHEREAS, over 160 University of Georgia Family and Consumer Sciences students have5 participated in the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellows Program; and6 WHEREAS, the students selected for the Legislative Aide Leaders hip Fellow Program7 represent some of the best and the brightest Family and Consume r Science students at the8 University of Georgia who share a genuine people-focused policy approach in the law9 making process and a potential commitment to public service; and10 WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett was raised in Indonesia and moved to the United States in 2023;11 and12 WHEREAS, she was selected to serve in the Office of Georgia State Representative Stacey13 Evans through the Legislative Aide Leadership Fellow Program; and14 H. R. 2008 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3995 WHEREAS, Sierra Hallet has shown her leadership skills through earning a prestigious15 award for leadership speech from the University of Georgia's St udent Government16 Association; and17 WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett has shown great initiative and acumen i n her tracking of vital18 legislation pertinent to the constituents of House District 57, documenting insight and19 impressions from committee meetings, and researching District issue concerns; and20 WHEREAS, Sierra Hallett is one of the hardest working and most reliable interns in the21 Georgia State Capitol.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body commend Sierra Hallett for her exemplary service during the 202624 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia and extend sincere best wishes for future25 success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sierra28 Hallett.29 H.
