26 LC 112 4112 House Resolution 1978 By: Representative Cummings of the 39th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, widely recognized as "The Boss Chix," Dr. Janet Jackso n-Gordon is an2 award-winning serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and trailblazer best known for producing3 exceptional celebrity events, concerts, and charitable initiatives in Atlanta and beyond; and4 WHEREAS, she currently serves as founder and CEO of Jackson Events & Entertainment,5 a premier booking and entertainment agency that curates experiences for corporate partners,6 community organizations, and private clients; and7 WHEREAS, throughout her remarkable career, she has collaborated with renowned artists8 such as Beyoncé, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Monica, and many others, earning respect for her9 excellence in artist relations and event execution; and10 WHEREAS, Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon further serves as founder of Boss Chix ATL, an11 empowerment platform through which she champions women entrepre neurs by providing12 business consulting, marketing, promotions, and mentorship; and13 H. R. 1978 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4112 WHEREAS, deeply committed to philanthropy, she frequently organ izes initiatives in14 support of breast cancer awareness, domestic violence preventio n, AIDS research, human15 and sex trafficking, and autism; and16 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high17 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom18 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved19 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and20 WHEREAS, Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon is a person of magnanimous st rengths with an21 unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23 remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Janet Jackson-Gordon for her many26 exemplary career achievements as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued27 health and happiness.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.30 Janet Jackson-Gordon.31 H.
