26 LC 112 4113 Senate Resolution 1065 By: Senator Rhett of the 33rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing April 19–25, 2026, as National Crime Victim's Rights Week and commending1 the victim advocates of the Cobb County Solicitor General's Off ice for their dedicated2 service; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, National Crime Victims' Rights Week is observed annually to promote victims'4 rights and honor those who serve them; and5 WHEREAS, victim advocates provide critical support, compassion, and guidance to6 survivors navigating the aftermath of crime; and7 WHEREAS, the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office is served b y an exceptional team8 of advocates who work tirelessly to ensure victims are treated with dignity, respect, and care;9 and10 WHEREAS, Director of Victim Services Sirpa Vigdorov, along with advocates Meghan11 Abstein, Stephanie Beatty, Chloe Chin, Erika Chukwura, Jazmine Guamine, and Bianca12 Lopez, exemplify professionalism, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to justice; and13 S. R. 1065 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4113 WHEREAS, these advocates help victims access resources, understand their rights, and find14 a path toward healing; and15 WHEREAS, their efforts strengthen public trust and enhance the fairness and effectiveness16 of the justice system throughout Cobb County; and17 WHEREAS, their dedication reflects the highest ideals of public service of community care.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19 recognize April 19–25, 2026, as National Crime Victim's Rights Week and commend the20 victim advocates of the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office for their outstanding service21 and commitment.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body extend their sincere gratitude23 to Sirpa Vigdorov, Meghan Abstein, Stephanie Beatty, Chloe Chin , Erika Chukwura,24 Jazmine Guaman, and Bianca Lopez for their invaluable contributions.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the27 press.28 S.
