26 LC 112 4118 House Resolution 1970 By: Representative McQueen of the 61st A RESOLUTION Commending Kimberly Postell, Sandtown Middle School's 2025-2026 Professional of the1 Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3 people, and Kimberly Postell exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our4 finest academic professionals; and5 WHEREAS, with more than 25 years of exemplary service in education, Kimberly Postell6 currently holds the dual roles of dean of students and athletic director at Sandtown Middle7 School, where she leads with compassion, structure, and empathy; and8 WHEREAS, she has further served in a wide range of impactful roles throughout her career,9 including as department chair, connections department chair, health and physical education10 teacher, and support teacher; and11 WHEREAS, her commitment to student growth extends beyond the school year through her12 work as a summer online instructor for Fulton Virtual Schools, where she has taught health13 and physical education to learners across the district; and14 H. R. 1970 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4118 WHEREAS, Kimberly Postell has earned distinction as a result of her dedication to her15 students and her profession and has been honored as Sandtown Middle School's 2025-202616 Professional of the Year; and17 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare18 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the19 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding professional.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body commend Kimberly Postell, Sandtown Middle School's 2025-202622 Professional of the Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to25 Kimberly Postell.26 H.
