26 LC 112 4061 House Resolution 1954 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Berry of the 56th, Cannon of the 58th, Clark of the 108th, and Ali of the 106th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the artistic achievements, cultural impact, and community1 engagement of YK Niece; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia has long stood at the forefront o f music, culture, and3 innovation, producing artists whose influence resonates across the nation and around the4 world; and5 WHEREAS, YK Niece, an emerging artist from Atlanta, Georgia, has quickly established6 herself as one of hip-hop's most exciting new voices, representing the vibrancy and creativity7 of the state's music scene; and8 WHEREAS, she gained widespread attention with her viral hit "WHIM WHAMMIE," which9 has amassed millions of streams and social media engagements, helping to propel her into10 national recognition; and11 WHEREAS, her rapidly growing catalog, including standout tracks such as "Innit" and "Take12 Me Thru Dere," showcases her distinctive sound, bold lyricism, and ability to connect with13 audiences through authentic Southern storytelling; and14 H.
