26 LC 129 1524 House Resolution 2012 By: Representative Barton of the 5th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Sonoraville High School Lady Phoenix for winning the 2025 GHSA Class1 AA State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Sonoraville High School Lady Phoenix have established and maintained a3 proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team5 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable6 2025 campaign, the team captured a state championship title; and7 WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school and to Gordon County by8 winning the 2025 GHSA Class AA State Championship; and9 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding10 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the11 team as well as its superb offensive and defensive talents; and12 H. R. 2012 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1524 WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned13 its well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of its play,14 and the stiff competition it presented to its opponents; and 15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to call this magnificent team champions.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body congratulate the theSonoraville High S chool Lady Phoenix for18 winning the 2025 GHSA Class AA State Championship and extend be st wishes for their19 continued success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the22 theSonoraville High School Lady Phoenix.23 H.
