26 LC 112 4101 House Resolution 1983 By: Representatives Bonner of the 73rd, Smith of the 70th, Jenkins of the 136th, Glaize of the 67th, and Dawson of the 65th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Keith Brady; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Keith Brady has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital2 role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the3 citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,5 talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state, as evidenced6 dramatically by his 32 years of superlative service as mayor of the City of Newnan; and7 WHEREAS, during his exemplary tenure, the City of Newnan has experienced exponential8 development, growing its annual budget from $9 million to nearly $38 million in Fiscal Year9 2025 and increasing its population from 13,330 to over 40,000 residents in 2020; and10 WHEREAS, his leadership has further resulted in the creation of numerous recreational11 activities throughout the city, including a pickleball campus, a skate park, and the Greenville12 Street Park, as well as the revitalization of the city's downtown; and13 H. R. 1983 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4101 WHEREAS, Keith Brady's significant organizational and leadershi p talents, remarkable14 patience and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of15 Newnan have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and16 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for17 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and18 WHEREAS, Keith Brady has served with honor and distinction as m ayor of the City of19 Newnan, and his vision and unyielding commitment to his fellow citizens have set the20 standard for public service; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend Keith Brady for his efficient, effective,25 unselfish, and dedicated public service to the City of Newnan and extend the most sincere26 best wishes for continued health and happiness.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Keith29 Brady.30 H.
