26 LC 112 4106 House Resolution 1981 By: Representative Au of the 50th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton sees a world where people unite3 and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in o ur communities, and in4 ourselves; and5 WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton is led by President and Secretary6 Dave Bernard, Treasurer Judy Chen, Public Image Chair Tricia Je nkins Quidley, Service7 Projects Chair Rachel Newcomer, Membership Chair Elizabeth Stansbury, and Foundation8 Chair Flore Zambou; and9 WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton, chartered on March 13, 2013,10 and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Roswell, has 51 active memb ers and 23 satellite11 members; and12 WHEREAS, members of the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton connect with leaders13 from the community and the world, expand their network and worldview, and take action to14 help create lasting change in the community and other communities around the world; and15 H. R. 1981 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4106 WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton annually hosts a 9/11 Patriot Day16 Commemoration, officially known as National Day of Service and Remembrance, and17 accepts donations to benefit the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation in memory of the First18 Responders and innocent civilians who lost their lives that day; and19 WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton takes part in a Global Grant20 project that will improve water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities in six government schools21 in Nepal, which will serve 502 students and 35 staff, primarily from impoverished22 backgrounds.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend the Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North25 Fulton for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well26 as extend best wishes for continued success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the29 Rotary Club of Johns Creek-North Fulton.30 H.
