A RESOLUTION
Commending Danny Hall; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Danny Hall began his exemplary coaching career as a graduate assistant at his2
alma mater, Miami University, from 1978 to 1979, and he continued to develop his expertise3
over eight seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan; and4
WHEREAS, he earned his first head coaching position at Kent State University, serving from5
1988 to 1993 and leading the program to two Mid-American Confer ence championships6
while receiving recognition as a two-time Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year; and7
WHEREAS, in 1994, Danny Hall became the head coach at the Georg ia Institute of8
Technology, where over 32 seasons he built one of the most succ essful programs in9
collegiate baseball history and compiled a remarkable 1,244-676 record; and10
WHEREAS, under his leadership, the Georgia Tech baseball program captured eight Atlantic11
Coast Conference regular-season championships and five Atlantic C o a s t C o n f e r e n c e12
Tournament championships, earned 25 NCAA Tournament appearances , and advanced to13
three College World Series appearances; and14

WHEREAS, his commitment to the development of student-athletes is evidenced by his15
mentorship of 149 Georgia Tech players who were selected in the Major League Baseball16
Draft a total of 166 times, as well as 15 Georgia Tech players who earned Academic17
All-America recognition a combined 19 times; and18
WHEREAS, throughout his distinguished career, Danny Hall amasse d an overall head19
coaching record of 1,452-793-1, ranking ninth in NCAA history for career victories; and20
WHEREAS, his exceptional leadership and impact on the game have been recognized21
through numerous honors, including his induction into the American Baseball Coaches Hall22
of Fame in 2023 and his designation as an honorary alumnus of t he Georgia Institute of23
Technology in 2024; and24
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplar y individual be25
appropriately honored during this special time.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body commend Danny Hall for his decades of exceptional service in28
collegiate baseball as well as extend best wishes for future health and happiness.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to31
Danny Hall.32
