26 LC 112 4151 Senate Resolution 1073 By: Senator Jackson of the 41st A RESOLUTION Commending Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo for her outstanding service as a legislative intern; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo of Monroe, Georgia, is a junior at Georgia Gwinnett3 College majoring in economics with a minor in political science and a concentration in legal4 studies; and5 WHEREAS, as a member of the inaugural cohort of the Georgia Gwinnett College Internship6 Program at the Georgia State Capitol, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to public7 service and civic engagement; and8 WHEREAS, during her internship, she has contributed to legislative operations by tracking9 bills, conducting research, performing administrative duties, a nswering constituent calls,10 attending committee meetings, and assisting with the collection of bills, resolutions, and11 signatures; and12 WHEREAS, through these responsibilities, she has gained valuable firsthand experience in13 the legislative process and developed a deeper understanding of how laws are made and14 implemented to serve communities across the State of Georgia; and15 S. R. 1073 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4151 WHEREAS, her involvement as an Atlanta Legal Aid research volun teer, Feed America16 volunteer, member of the Law Society, Dean's Student Advisory Board representative, and17 PCIS ambassador stands as further testament to her dedication t o service, leadership, and18 academic achievement; and19 WHEREAS, it is abunda ntly fitting and proper that this exemplar y individual be20 appropriately honored during this special time.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 commend Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo for her service as a legislative int ern during the 202623 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes24 for future success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Loiwe27 Mvunga-Marfo.28 S.
