26 LC 112 4144 House Resolution 2032 By: Representatives Lim of the 98th, Lupton of the 83rd, Clark of the 108th, and Olaleye of the 59th A RESOLUTION Commending Per Scholas Atlanta on the occasion of its 10th anni versary; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, Per Scholas is a national nonprofit organization dedic ated to advancing3 economic mobility through rigorous no-cost technology training, professional development,4 and employer connections for individuals from communities; and5 WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta was established in 2016 to expand access to high-quality6 technology education and career pathways for residents across the greater Atlanta region; and7 WHEREAS, since its founding, Per Scholas Atlanta has enrolled more than 2,000 learners,8 equipping them with the skills, certifications, and support nee ded to launch careers in the9 technology sector and helping to close the opportunity gap; and10 WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta offers industry-aligned training programs in high-demand11 fields, including AWS cloud computing, cybersecurity, IT suppor t, software engineering,12 data center operations, low voltage technician training, and Sa lesforce administration,13 preparing learners for success in a rapidly evolving digital economy; and14 H. R. 2032 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4144 WHEREAS, in 2025, Per Scholas Atlanta achieved an 81 percent ce rtification attainment15 rate, demonstrating the effectiveness and rigor of its training programs; and16 WHEREAS, the organization provides comprehensive wraparound sup ports—including17 career coaching, job placement assistance, and professional skills development—to ensure18 learners are equipped to overcome barriers and achieve long-term success; and19 WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta collaborates with employer partner s, community-based20 organizations, and public sector leaders to build a strong, div erse pipeline of technology21 talent and support regional workforce development; and22 WHEREAS, in 2026, Per Scholas Atlanta proudly celebrates its 10 -year anniversary,23 marking a decade of transformative impact and continued dedicat ion to empowering24 individuals and strengthening communities through technology training.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body commend Per Scholas Atlanta for its ou tstanding service to the27 people of Georgia and celebrate its 10 years of impact in expan ding access to opportunity28 and building a diverse, skilled technology workforce.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Per31 Scholas Atlanta.32 H.
