HR2022: HR2022 Ndewa, Blaise Aristide; commend

26 LC 112 4153 House Resolution 2022 By: Representatives McClain of the 109th, Olaleye of the 59th, Berry of the 56th, Romman of the 97th, Carter of the 93rd, and others A RESOLUTION Commending Blaise Aristide Ndewa; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Blaise Aristide Ndewa of Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Snellville,2 Georgia, is a sophomore at Georgia Gwinnett College majoring in political science with a3 concentration in American government and a minor in sociology; and4 WHEREAS, as a member of the inaugural cohort of the Georgia Gwinnett College Internship5 Program at the Georgia State Capitol, he was among 16 student i nterns selected for their6 academic achievement and interest in public service; and7 WHEREAS, as part of this first-year program, he helped establis h a foundation for future8 participants while gaining hands-on experience in legislative work, including policy research,9 office operations, and constituent services; and10 WHEREAS, during his internship, he worked closely with the Work ing Families Caucus,11 analyzing and engaging with legislation as well as providing insight into the substance and12 impact of bills, including identifying the who, what, and why behind each measure; and13 H. R. 2022 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4153 WHEREAS, through these experiences, he developed a deeper under standing of the14 legislative process and strengthened his ability to evaluate pu blic policy and its effect on15 communities; and16 WHEREAS, Blaise Aristide Ndewa aspires to combine his interests in sports and17 government to pursue a career as a general manager of a sports franchise while contributing18 to nonprofit efforts and empowering others, particularly in his home country; and19 WHEREAS, his participation in this program highlights a strong commitment to civic20 engagement and the value of providing students with meaningful opportunities to gain21 real-world experience in government; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the achievements and promising future23 of this outstanding student be appropriately honored.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body commend Blaise Aristide Ndewa for his service as a legislative26 intern during the 2026 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia and extend the27 most sincere best wishes for future success.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Blaise30 Aristide Ndewa.31 H.
