26 LC 129 1532 House Resolution 2051 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Jasperse of the 11th, Barrett of the 24th, Jones of the 25th, McDonald III of the 26th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing the athletic achievements of Owen Cooper; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Owen Cooper, a distinguished student athlete representing North Forsyth High2 School, has demonstrated exceptional, dedication, discipline, a nd prowess in the sport of3 competitive swimming; and4 WHEREAS, through rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence Owen has5 achieved remarkable milestones during the competitive season; and 6 WHEREAS, Owen recorded an outstanding time of 20.53 seconds in the 50 yard freestyle,7 showcasing explosive speed and technical precision; and8 WHEREAS, Owen further distinguished himself by clocking a pheno menal time of 44.729 seconds in the 100 yard freestyle; and 10 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlati ve abilities of this11 accomplished and gifted student-athlete, as well as the pride, honor, and respect he has12 brought to him, his school, and his community, be appropriately recognized.13 H. R. 2051 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1532 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that14 the members of this body recognize and commend Owen Cooper for his extraordinary15 performance in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events and celebrate his hard earned success16 in the pool.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Owen19 Cooper.20 H.
