26 LC 129 1464 House Resolution 2071 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Cox of the 28th, and Hilton of the 48th A RESOLUTION Commending the Roswell High School competition cheerleading team for winning the 20251 GHSA Co-Ed Cheerleading State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Roswell High School competition cheerleading team has established and3 maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;4 and5 WHEREAS, this superlative team has engineered another rousing s eason of cheerleading6 competition, invitationals, and workshops; and7 WHEREAS, high quality production, superior teamwork, and unshakable commitment made8 this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, a nd as a fitting finale to its9 remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured a sectional championship, along with its first10 cheerleading state championship in school history; and11 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of this competition team is a clear indication of12 the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and13 spirit of each member of the team; its focus on superb technique, stunting, and team culture;14 and the astute direction of Head Coaches Crystal Baker and Caroline Manus; and15 H. R. 2071 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1464 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by16 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is17 abundantly proper to call them champions.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend the Roswell High School competition cheerleading team20 for winning the 2025 GHSA Co-Ed Cheerleading State Championship and extend their most21 sincere best wishes for continued success. 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 Roswell High School competition cheerleading team.25 H.
