26 LC 129 1422 House Resolution 2052 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jasperse of the 11th, Barrett of the 24th, Jones of the 25th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing Addie Speigner as the 2026 State Champion in the 10 0m Butterfly; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the sport of competitive swimming requires an extraord inary level of3 cardiovascular endurance, technical precision, and mental toughness; and4 WHEREAS, Addie Speigner has dedicated herself to countless hour s of early morning5 training and rigorous preparation to compete among the elite swimmers in the state; and6 WHEREAS, the 100 m butterfly is a premier event that demands a perfect balance of7 strength and stroke mechanics, often decided by a fraction of a second; and8 WHEREAS, Addie Speigner demonstrated elite athleticism and composure at the 2026 State9 Championships, touching the wall first to secure the gold and t he title of State Champion10 with 55.62; and11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body congratulate Addie Speigner for her remarkable performance and13 commitment to athletic excellence as well as commend her for her 2026 State Title.14 H.
