26 LC 129 1421 House Resolution 2028 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Barrett of the 24th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jasperse of the 11th, Jones of the 25th, and others A RESOLUTION Honoring Derik Kiefer for winning the West Forsyth 2026 State Wrestling Championship;1 and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, excellence in high school athletics represents the com bination of tireless,3 dedication, mental fortitude, and physical perseverance; and4 WHEREAS, Derik Kiefer has demonstrated exceptional skill, and sportsmanship throughout5 the 2026 wrestling season, embodying the spirit of a true competitor; and6 WHEREAS, by defeating his opponents in the 106 lb weight class, D e r i k K i e f e r h a s7 officially secured the title of 2026 State Champion, bringing i mmense pride to his entire8 community and school; and9 WHEREAS, this victory serves as a testament to the hours of training, weight management,10 and discipline required to reach the top of the podium.11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body recognize and commend Derik Kiefer for his outstanding13 achievement and for earning the title of State Champion.14 H.
