26 LC 129 1462 House Resolution 2072 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Cox of the 28th, and Hilton of the 48th A RESOLUTION Commending the Roswell Hornets girls soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA 5A Girls1 Soccer State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Roswell Hornets girls soccer team has established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of soccer5 competition by posting an outstanding, undefeated record of 22 wins and zero losses; and6 WHEREAS, outstanding play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this7 team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its8 remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured its second girls soccer state championship in9 school history and were ranked the number one girls soccer team in the country; and10 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11 athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity o f purpose and spirit of each12 member of the team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of13 Head Coach Mary Desing; and14 H. R. 2072 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1462 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by15 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is16 abundantly proper to call them champions.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body commend the Roswell Hornets girls soccer team for winning the19 2025 GHSA 5A Girls Soccer State Championship and extend their most sincere best wishes20 for continued success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 Roswell Hornets girls soccer team.24 H.
