26 LC 129 1533 House Resolution 2049 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Barrett of the 24th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jasperse of the 11th, Jones of the 25th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and congratulating Oliver Van Peteghem; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Oliver Van Peteghem, representing South Forsyth High S chool, has2 demonstrated extraordinary dedication, discipline, and athletic prowess in the sport of3 competitive swimming; and 4 WHEREAS, in the field of competition, Oliver executed a perform ance in the 200 yard5 freestyle, clocking an elite time of 1:36.76, showcasing remark able speed and technical6 precision; and 7 WHEREAS, Oliver further displayed exceptional endurance, and mental fortitude in the 5008 yard freestyle, finishing with a commanding time of 4:27.04; and9 WHEREAS, these times represent not only personal best, but also a standard of excellence10 that elevates the self Forsyth high school swimming program. 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body recognize and commend Oliver Van Peteghem for his outstanding13 H. R. 2049 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1533 athletic results, his commitment to excellence, and his role as a premier student athlete in the14 south Forsyth community.15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to17 Oliver Van Peteghem.18 H.
