26 LC 129 1535 House Resolution 2050 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Jasperse of the 11th, Barrett of the 24th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and congratulating Ellie Cooper; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Ellie Cooper, a student athlete at North Forsyth High School, has demonstrated2 extraordinary, talent, dedication, and sportsmanship in the sport of competitive swimming;3 and 4 WHEREAS, through rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence, Ellie5 competed in the 2026 GHSA Class 6A State Swimming Championships; and6 WHEREAS, Ellie achieved a spectacular victory and the 100 yard backstroke, capturing the7 state championship title with a time of 55.18 seconds.8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that9 the members of this body recognize and commend Ellie Cooper for her outstanding athletic10 performance, her individual state championship, and her exemplary representation of North11 Forsyth High School.12 H.
