26 LC 129 1500 House Resolution 2042 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Berry of the 56th, and Holly of the 116th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Townsend and Lockett, LLC, for its exemplary contributions1 to business law and economic leadership in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Townsend & Lockett, LLC (T&L) is a full-service business law firm founded3 and headquartered in the State of Georgia, with additional offi ces in Dallas, Texas; Los4 Angeles, California; and Chicago, Illinois; and5 WHEREAS, T&L was founded by D. Tennell Lockett and Travis Towns end, Jr., whose6 vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence have driven the firm's growth and national7 recognition; and8 WHEREAS, under the leadership of its founders and equity partner Christopher E. Gilmore,9 who chairs several of the firm's practice groups, T&L has established itself as a trusted legal10 advisor to Fortune 500 companies, handling more than $21 billio n in domestic and11 international transactions over the past decade; and12 WHEREAS, T&L is recognized as a leader in the practice areas of mergers and acquisitions,13 capital markets, commercial real estate, intellectual property and technology, private equity14 and venture capital, as well as commercial litigation and arbitration; and15 H.
