26 LC 129 1463 House Resolution 2070 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Cox of the 28th, and Hilton of the 48th A RESOLUTION Commending the Roswell Hornets boys lacrosse team for winning the 2025 GHSA Division1 2 Boys Lacrosse State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Roswell Hornets boys lacrosse team has established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of lacrosse5 competition by posting an outstanding record of 19 wins and only three losses; and6 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team7 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable8 2025 campaign, the team captured its fifth boys lacrosse state championship in school9 history, securing back-to-back-to-back championships - the firs t boys lacrosse team in10 Georgia history to do so; and 11 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding12 athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity o f purpose and spirit of each13 member of the team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of14 Head Coach Bryan Wallace; and15 H. R. 2070 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1463 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by16 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is17 abundantly proper to call them champions.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend the Roswell Hornets boys lacrosse team for winning the20 2025 GHSA Division 2 Boys Lacrosse State Championship and exten d their most sincere21 best wishes for continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 Roswell Hornets boys lacrosse team.25 H.
