26 LC 129 1458 House Resolution 2065 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Jones of the 47th, Jones of the 25th, Cox of the 28th, and Hilton of the 48th A RESOLUTION Commending the Milton Lady Eagles lacrosse team for winning the 2025 GHSA Division1 2 Girls Lacrosse State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Milton Lady Eagles lacrosse team has established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of lacrosse5 competition by posting an outstanding record of 20 wins and only two losses; and6 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team7 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable8 2025 campaign, the team captured its 18th girls lacrosse state championship in school history9 and eighth state championship in a row; and10 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11 athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity o f purpose and spirit of each12 member of the team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of13 Head Coach Tim Godby; and14 H. R. 2065 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1458 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by15 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is16 abundantly proper to call them champions.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body commend the Milton Lady Eagles lacrosse team for winning the19 2025 GHSA Division 2 Girls Lacrosse State Championship and exte nd their most sincere20 best wishes for continued success. 21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 Milton Lady Eagles lacrosse team.24 H.
