26 LC 129 1554 House Resolution 2104 By: Representative Lumsden of the 12th A RESOLUTION Commending Josh Smith, Trion High School's 2026 STAR Teacher; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most2 important objective of the General Assembly; and3 WHEREAS, Josh Smith has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital4 role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal commitment to the5 education of the students of Georgia; and6 WHEREAS, Josh Smith has earned distinction for teaching excellence and has been honored7 as Trion High School's 2026 STAR Teacher; and8 WHEREAS, in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people9 in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this bod y to honor the extraordinary10 accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that12 the members of this body commend Josh Smith, Trion High School's 2026 STAR Teacher,13 and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.14 H.
