A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Center for Employment Opportunit ies Atlanta; and for1
other purposes.2
WHEREAS, established in August 2021 through partnerships with the GreenLight Fund and3
Georgia's Department of Human Services, the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO)4
Atlanta provides comprehensive workforce development services t o individuals returning5
home from incarceration; and6
WHEREAS, CEO Atlanta ensures that returning citizens have access to economic and social7
mobility through job readiness training, transitional employmen t, advanced training and8
certificates, job coaching and placement, and retention services; and9
WHEREAS, the 143 individuals who CEO served in Fiscal Year 2025 participated in10
immediate work experience and daily pay, with CEO paying out mo re than $325,000 in11
transitional job wages and helping 61 individuals secure full t ime employment upon12
completing the program at an average wage of $18.56 an hour; and13

WHEREAS, CEO's program model has been evaluated to increase bot h public safety and14
employment outcomes, with findings showing a 22 percent reduction in recidivism and 4815
percent increase in employment after three years; and16
WHEREAS, CEO Atlanta works closely with community partners at t he local and state17
levels, including the Department of Community Services, the Ful ton County Jail, the18
Gateway Center, the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Department of Public Works, and more; and19
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplar y organization be20
appropriately honored during this special time.21
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22
the members of this body recognize and commend the Center for Employment Opportunities23
Atlanta for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state and24
extend best wishes for continued success.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27
Center for Employment Opportunities Atlanta.28
