26 LC 112 4169 House Resolution 2121 By: Representative Jones of the 25th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the transformative impact of blockchain technology; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, blockchain technology represents one of the most signi ficant technological3 innovations of the 21st century, introducing decentralized, sec ure, and transparent4 computational frameworks for recording and verifying transactions; and5 WHEREAS, blockchain systems enhance data integrity by utilizing distributed ledger6 mechanisms that reduce the risk of tampering, fraud, and unauthorized alteration; and7 WHEREAS, the adoption of blockchain technology has revolutionized the manner in which8 digital information is stored, shared, and authenticated, promoting efficiency, reliability, and9 trust across modern and classic industries; and10 WHEREAS, blockchain-driven solutions have demonstrated substant ial advancements in11 financial feasibility by lowering transaction costs, reducing i ntermediaries, and enabling12 faster, more accessible global exchanges; and13 H. R. 2121 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4169 WHEREAS, the transparency inherent in blockchain networks promo tes accountability,14 fosters economic trust, and strengthens the credibility of financial and operational systems;15 and16 WHEREAS, blockchain technology has provided innovative tools for improving economic17 accessibility, regulatory compliance, and auditability in both public and private sectors; and18 WHEREAS, industries of all sizes, including finance, healthcare , logistics, governance,19 cybersecurity and others, have increasingly leveraged blockchai n applications to enhance20 digital security, ensure regulatory compliance, streamline proc esses, and improve21 recordkeeping; and22 WHEREAS, the continued exploration and responsible implementati on of blockchain23 technologies may yield further benefits, including quantum proof data protection, limitless24 system operational capacities, and equitable access to digital technologies.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend the benefits of blockchain technology,27 which have positively impacted millions of people across the State of Georgia, the United28 States, and all other parts of the world.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the31 public and the press.32 H.
