26 LC 129 1539 House Resolution 2086 By: Representative Gilliard of the 162nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Clifton Baptist Church; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble eff orts of the devoted2 original worshipers of Clifton Baptist Church have blossomed, establishing a rich tradition3 and history; and4 WHEREAS, organized in 1885, Clifton Baptist Church has grown under the divine direction5 of numerous pastors over the years, allowing the Word of God to spread throughout the6 community; and7 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of8 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through9 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and10 WHEREAS, the members of Clifton Baptist Church have a sincere desire to serve the Lord11 and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ; and12 H. R. 2086 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1539 WHEREAS, the story of Clifton Baptist Church is one of triumph through the grace and13 sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that God keeps14 His promise; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message16 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered17 on behalf of persons in need.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body recognize the rich history of Clifton Baptist Church, commend its20 many years of dedicated service to the Lord and community, and extend their warmest best21 wishes for its continued growth and success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to24 Clifton Baptist Church.25 H.
