26 LC 112 4247 Senate Resolution 1104 By: Senator Jackson of the 41st A RESOLUTION Commending Chloe Weems; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Chloe Weems is a student at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, where2 she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in political science with a minor in anthropology and3 sociology; and4 WHEREAS, she has served as an intern in the Office of Senator K im Jackson during the5 2026 regular session of the Georgia General Assembly, where she has greatly contributed to6 social media and communications efforts; and7 WHEREAS, she has further engaged in civic and community-based w ork through her8 participation in the Sophomore Class Atlanta Leadership Experience at Agnes Scott College,9 including service as a community extern with the International Rescue Committee; and10 WHEREAS, Chloe Weems has demonstrated leadership on campus through her involvement11 with multiple student organizations, including serving as president of HOASC Mortar Board12 and holding leadership roles with The Silhouette, Agnes Scott C ollege's yearbook13 organization; and14 S. R. 1104 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4247 WHEREAS, her commitment to service is reflected in her continued volunteer work as an15 assistant teacher at Columbia Elementary School and her partici pation in community16 initiatives such as Rise Against Hunger; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the service a nd achievements of this18 outstanding individual be appropriately honored.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body20 commend Chloe Weems for her service as a legislative intern during the 2026 regular session21 of the Georgia General Assembly and extend best wishes for continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Chloe Weems. 24 S.
