26 LC 112 4233 House Resolution 2114 By: Representative Kendrick of the 95th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending New Bethel A.M.E. Church on the occa sion of its 37th1 anniversary; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble eff orts of the devoted3 original worshipers of New Bethel A.M.E. Church have blossomed, establishing a rich4 tradition and history; and5 WHEREAS, located in Lithonia, Georgia, New Bethel A.M.E. Church has grown under the6 divine direction of numerous pastors over the years, allowing t he Word of God to spread7 throughout the community; and8 WHEREAS, this exemplary church is one of the first to install s olar panels, and it has9 managed to completely pay off its mortgage debt; and10 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of11 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through12 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and13 H. R. 2114 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4233 WHEREAS, the members of New Bethel A.M.E. Church have a sincere desire to serve the14 Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ; and15 WHEREAS, the story of New Bethel A.M.E. Church is one of triumph through the grace and16 sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that God keeps17 His promise; and18 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message19 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered20 on behalf of persons in need.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize the rich history of New Beth el A.M.E. Church,23 commend its 37 years of dedicated service to the Lord and commu nity, and extend their24 warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to New27 Bethel A.M.E.
