26 LC 112 4245 Senate Resolution 1099 By: Senator Jackson of the 41st A RESOLUTION Commending Ayomide Rahman; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Ayomide Rahman of London, England, is a student at De Montfort University,2 England, where she is entering her third year working toward a Bachelor of Law; and3 WHEREAS, as a junior, she is participating in an exchange year at Georgia College & State4 University, majoring in political science with a minor in criminal justice; and5 WHEREAS, Ayomide Rahman serves as a member of the Georgia Legis lative Internship6 Program at the Georgia State Capitol, where she has gained valuable experience in legislative7 operations through her service as part of the Office of Senator Kim Jackson; and8 WHEREAS, the Georgia Legislative Internship Program is a cooperative venture between9 the General Assembly of Georgia and institutions of higher lear ning in Georgia, and it10 provides a select group of students with in-depth exposure to the House of Representatives11 and the Senate by assigning them positions with key standing co mmittees and legislative12 leaders; and13 S. R. 1099 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4245 WHEREAS, through her academic pursuits and internship service, Ayomide Rahman has14 demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and the principles of public service;15 and16 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the service a nd achievements of this17 outstanding student be appropriately honored.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19 commend Ayomide Rahman for her service as a legislative intern during the 2026 regular20 session of the Georgia General Assembly and extend best wishes for continued success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed22 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ayomide Rahman.23 S.
