HR2116: HR2116 Dilbeck, Alexandria; Chattooga County High School's 2026 STAR Student; commend

26 LC 129 1546 House Resolution 2116 By: Representative Lumsden of the 12th A RESOLUTION Commending Alexandria Dilbeck, Chattooga County High School's 2 026 STAR Student;1 and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, a gifted student at Chattooga County High School, Alexandria Dilbeck has been3 recognized for superlative achievement and selected as Chattoog a County High School's4 2026 STAR Student; and5 WHEREAS, to be selected as a STAR Student, a student must have obtained the highest6 score in one administration of the three-part Scholastic Aptitu de Test and be in the top 107 percent or top ten students of his or her class; and8 WHEREAS, each school has one STAR Student who in turn has the opportunity to choose9 a STAR Teacher who has been inspiring and encouraging throughou t that student's high10 school career; and11 WHEREAS, educator Julie Lane was chosen by Alexandria as Chatto oga County High12 School's 2026 STAR Teacher for the great support and guidance p rovided throughout the13 years; and14 H. R. 2116 - 1 - 26 LC 129 1546 WHEREAS, Alexandria has personified the selfless dedication, me ntal agility, verbal15 adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and16 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most17 important objective of the General Assembly, and Alexandria has shown by academic18 accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of19 the students in this state; and20 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation tow ard the future of this21 bright and promising young citizen.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body heartily commend Alexandria Dilbeck for being named Chattooga24 County High School's 2026 STAR Student and express their most s incere best wishes for25 continued academic success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to28 Alexandria Dilbeck.29 H.
