26 LC 112 4161 House Resolution 2130 By: Representatives Momtahan of the 17th, Ford of the 170th, Kahaian of the 81st, New of the 40th, O’Steen of the 169th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Wellspring Living on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Wellspring Living is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 dedicated to3 transforming the lives of individuals at risk of or victimized by sexual exploitation; and4 WHEREAS, for 25 years, Wellspring Living has provided trauma-informed care, including5 safe housing, therapy, education, and workforce development, he lping women and youth6 rebuild their lives and achieve independence; and7 WHEREAS, the organization has grown from a single residential p rogram into a8 comprehensive continuum of care, impacting thousands of survivo rs through its focus on9 housing, healing, and education; and10 WHEREAS, Wellspring Living has served as a leader in the fight against human trafficking,11 working alongside community partners, state agencies, and national organizations to raise12 awareness, provide training, and strengthen prevention efforts; and13 H. R. 2130 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4161 WHEREAS, the organization has provided safe nights , direct services, and life-changing14 support to thousands of survivors, offering hope, dignity, and opportunity to those15 overcoming trauma and exploitation; and16 WHEREAS, Wellspring Living's commitment to compassion, restoration, and empowerment17 has made a lasting impact on the State of Georgia and beyond, e xemplifying the highest18 ideals of service and community leadership; and19 WHEREAS, the 25th anniversary of Wellspring Living marks a significant milestone in its20 continued mission to support survivors and prevent exploitation , reflecting a legacy of21 courage, resilience, and hope for future generations.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize and commend Wellspring Livin g for 25 years of24 outstanding service and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in its25 mission.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to28 Wellspring Living.29 H.
