26 LC 112 4250 House Resolution 2101 By: Representative Moore of the 91st A RESOLUTION Commending Maha Ahmad; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement as a student2 of Peachtree Academy, maintaining a 4.2 weighted grade point average and a 4.0 unweighted3 grade point average while pursuing a rigorous course of study; and4 WHEREAS, she has earned consistent recognition for scholarly ex cellence, including5 placement on the Principal's H onor Roll from 9th through 11th g rade and achieving Top6 Student distinctions across numerous subjects, including American Government and Civics,7 AP World History, AP Biology, AP United States History, Statistics, Animal Science, and8 Floral Design; and9 WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has further distinguished herself by earnin g Gold-level10 recognition from the National Green Schools Society, awarded for completing more than 10011 service and educational hours; and12 WHEREAS, her involvement in extracurricular activities includes service as president of the13 Spanish Honors Society, president of the Eco Club, project/event manager of the Eco Club,14 H. R. 2101 - 1 - 26 LC 112 4250 student ambassador across multiple years, and president and student advisor within Future15 Farmers of America; and16 WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has participated in initiatives such as Rivers Alive cleanups, the17 Adopt a Mile program, providing meals to firefighters in Rockda le County during18 Thanksgiving, and delivering food through Meals on Wheels; and19 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most20 important objective of the General Assembly, and Maha Ahmad has shown by academic21 accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of22 the students in this state; and23 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation tow ard the future of this24 bright and promising young citizen.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body heartily commend Maha Ahmad for her ma ny outstanding27 accomplishments and contributions on behalf of her fellow citizens as well as extend their28 most sincere best wishes for continued academic success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Maha31 Ahmad.32 H.
