10-4-102. Physical standards for leaf tobacco warehouses; compliance as prerequisite for license.

  1. In addition to other authority granted him by this part, the Commissioner of Agriculture shall be authorized to promulgate regulations prescribing physical standards for buildings used as warehouses for the storage or sale of leaf tobacco. Such standards shall be reasonably designed to ensure the protection of producers and others from loss or damage to tobacco while held or stored in such warehouses and to provide for the safety and welfare of such persons while upon the warehouse premises. It shall be a prerequisite to the issuance of a license under this part that the applicant has complied with all standards promulgated pursuant to this Code section.
