Contracts not against public policy. It is the intent of the General Assembly that contracts related to the cultivation, harvesting, manufacturing, production, and distribution of cannabis solely for the manufacture of low THC oil or products pursuant to this article are not deemed contracts against public policy pursuant to Code Section 13-8-2 and shall be enforceable. No such contract shall be unenforceable on the basis that activities related to cannabis are prohibited by federal law. ## History Code 1981, § 16-12-233, enacted by Ga. L. 2021, p. 184, § 28/SB 195, not codified by the General Assembly, provides that: “Nothing in this Act shall be deemed to change, amend, or alter any criteria for applications for a Class 1 or Class 2 production license submitted to the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission on or prior to January 27, 2021.”
