# O.C.G.A. § 17-10-42.1. Participation of medical professionals in executions.

Participation in any execution of any convicted person carried out under this article shall not be the subject of any licensure challenge, suspension, or revocation for any physician or medical professional licensed in the State of Georgia.

Ga. L. 2006, p. 274, § 2/HB 57, not codified by the General Assembly, provides that: ‘‘This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2006, and shall apply to executions carried out on or after July 1, 2006.’’
