Council created. There is established the Georgia Council on Literacy for the purpose of conducting comprehensive reviews of birth to postsecondary programs, the alignment of state support for such programs, and other issues related to improving the literacy outcomes of Georgia students and adults. ## History Code 1981, § 20-1-41, enacted by Ga. L. 2025, p. 74, § 2-2/HB 307, effective April 28, 2025. ## Amendments The 2025 amendment, effective April 28, 2025, added “and adults” at the end.
