Bond; oath. Upon entering upon the discharge of his official duties, the State School Superintendent shall give bond in the penal sum of $50,000.00 to the state, with some approved surety company which shall be acceptable to the Secretary of State, conditioned that he will truly account for and apply all money or other property which may come into his hands in his official capacity for the use and benefit of the purposes for which it is intended and that he will faithfully perform the duties enjoined upon him by law. He shall take and subscribe an oath to discharge the duties of his office diligently and faithfully. The bond, with certified endorsement thereon, shall be filed with the Secretary of State, and the premium charged for such bond shall be paid out of the state treasury. ## History Ga.
