20-3-492. Appropriation of funds.

  1. (a)

    The funds necessary to provide for the program of scholarship grants provided for in this subpart shall come from funds appropriated by the General Assembly. In the event funds available to the authority are not sufficient to enable the authority to pay on behalf of eligible students the full grant amount otherwise payable under this subpart, grants shall be reduced by the authority on a pro rata basis.#

  2. (b)

    Nothing in this subpart shall be construed to require the General Assembly to appropriate any such funds.#
