Criminal penalties for violations of chapter. (a) Any person, firm, corporation, association, or partnership that violates Code Section 25-10-3.2 shall be guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than two nor more than ten years, or by a fine of not more than $10,000.00, or both. (b) Any person, firm, corporation, association, or partnership that violates subsection (a) of Code Section 25-10-2 shall be guilty of a felony and shall be punished pursuant to Code Section 16-7-23 and shall also be subject to a monetary penalty of not more than $10,000.00. (c) Any person, firm, corporation, association, or partnership that violates any other provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to monetary penalties as provided for in Code Section 25-10-9. ## History Ga. L. 2024, p. 945, § 10/SB 417, effective July 1, 2024. ## Amendments The 2024 amendment, effective July 1, 2024, added subsection (b); redesignated former subsection (b) as subsection (c) and added “and shall be subject to monetary penalties as provided for in Code Section 25-10-9” at the end.
