Compliance with chapter; license requirement. It is unlawful for any firm to engage in the business of installing, inspecting, recharging, repairing, servicing, or testing of portable fire extinguishers or fire suppression systems, as defined by this chapter, in this state except in conformity with the provisions of this chapter. Each firm engaging in any such business must possess a valid and subsisting license issued by the Commissioner. Such license shall not be required for any firm or governmental entity that engages only in installing, inspecting, recharging, repairing, servicing, or testing of portable fire extinguishers or fire suppression systems owned by the firm and installed on property under the control of said firm.
