Exemption for routine visual inspections of self-owned fire protection devices; exemption from fees. (a) The provisions of this chapter do not apply to any firm that engages only in the routine visual inspection of fire suppression systems or portable fire extinguishers owned by the firm and installed on property under the control of said firm. (b) The fees required by this chapter shall not apply to employees of federal, state, or local governments or to members of legally organized fire departments while acting in their official capacities. ## History Code 1981, § 25-12-6, enacted by Ga.
