Rights regarding personal property. (a) Each resident shall be permitted to retain and use his personal property, including funds and clothing, in his immediate living quarters as space permits. (b) Upon request, the facility shall provide a means of securing the resident’s property in his room or in any other secured part of the facility so long as the resident has access to such property on weekdays and, where facility policy allows, on weekends and holidays. Each facility shall keep a record of all personal property deposited within a secured part of the facility. (c) The facility shall develop procedures for investigating complaints concerning thefts of residents’ property and shall promptly investigate all such complaints and report the results of its investigation to the complainant. ## History Code 1933, § 88-1909B, enacted by Ga.
