Title 33. INSURANCE · Chapter 17. RECIPROCAL INSURERS

33-17-2. Applicability of chapter.

  1. (a)

    All authorized reciprocal insurers shall be governed by those Code sections of this chapter not expressly made applicable to domestic reciprocal insurers.#

  2. (b)

    Authorized reciprocal insurers shall comply with this chapter and shall make any amendments to their subscribers’ agreement, power of attorney, policies, and other documents and accounts and perform any other acts as may be required for such compliance.#

History

Code 1933, § 56-2103, enacted by Ga. L. 1960, p. 289, § 1; Ga. L. 2019, p. 337, § 1-79/SB 132. The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, in subsection (b), substituted ‘‘Authorized reciprocal insurers shall comply’’ for ‘‘Existing authorized reciprocal insurers shall after January 1, 1961, comply’’ at the beginning and substituted ‘‘for such compliance’’ for ‘‘for that compliance’’ at the end.
