Licensing for educational borrowers in default. The Commissioner shall not refuse to issue nor suspend or revoke a license of an applicant for or holder of a license because he or she has been certified by any entity of the federal government for nonpayment or default or breach of a repayment or service obligation under any federal educational loan, loan repayment, or service conditional scholarship program. ## History Code 1981, § 33-23-21.1, enacted by Ga. L. 2024, p. 120, § 2-34/HB 985, effective June 30, 2024. ## Amendments The 2024 amendment, effective June 30, 2024, deleted “is a borrower in default under the Georgia Higher Education Loan Program as determined by the Georgia Higher Education Assistance Corporation or”.
