Access to records and information by individuals and employing units; fee for copies. (a) An individual shall have access to all records and information concerning that individual held by the department unless the information is exempt from disclosure. An employing unit shall have access to its own records and to any records and information relating to a benefit claim by an individual if the employing unit is the individual’s chargeable employer. An employing unit shall have access to general summaries of benefit claims by individuals whose benefits are chargeable to the employing unit’s experience rating or reimbursement account. (b) Any interested party or authorized representative of such party shall be entitled to examine and, upon the payment of a reasonable fee to the department, to obtain a copy of any materials contained in such records to the extent necessary for proper presentation of the party’s position at any hearing on a claim. At the Commissioner’s discretion, the fee may be waived for persons for whom such payment would present a hardship. ## History Code 1981, § 34-8-124, enacted by Ga. L. 1991, p. 139, § 1.
