34-9-125. Insurance policies subject to chapter; approval of policy or contract forms by board; exceptions.

  1. Every policy insuring the payment of compensation provided for in this article or insuring against liability for payment of such compensation, including all contracts of mutual, reciprocal, or interinsurance, shall be deemed to be made subject to this chapter. No corporation, association, or organization and no mutual, reciprocal, or interinsurers shall enter into or make any such policy or contract of insurance unless its form shall have been approved by the board. This chapter shall not apply to policies of insurance against loss from explosion of boilers or flywheels or other similar catastrophic hazards.
